Frequently Asked Questions

Here you’ll find answers to common questions about our services, procedures, and what to expect before, during, and after your appointment.

General PMU Basics

  • Permanent makeup, also known as micropigmentation, is a semi-permanent cosmetic technique used to enhance features such as brows, lips, and eyes. Pigment is implanted into the skin to create soft, natural-looking results that gradually fade over time.

  • Results typically last 1–3 years, depending on the procedure, skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Periodic touch-ups are recommended to maintain color and shape.

  • No. While similar tools may be used, PMU differs in pigment type, depth of implantation, and technique. PMU is designed to fade over time rather than remain permanent like traditional tattoos.

  • Yes. Each treatment is customized based on facial features, skin type, and desired outcome to achieve balanced, subtle enhancements.

  • Most clients experience mild to moderate discomfort. Topical numbing agents are used to help keep you comfortable throughout the procedure.

Consultation & Booking

  • Yes. All new clients begin with a complimentary consultation prior to any service. This allows us to discuss goals, assess eligibility, and ensure the procedure is appropriate.

  • Consultations can be requested through the Consultation page on the website. You will be contacted after submission to confirm details.

  • During the consultation, goals, expectations, medical considerations, and treatment options are reviewed to ensure the procedure is approached safely and thoughtfully.

  • No. A consultation is required to ensure suitability, proper planning, and to prioritize client safety and satisfaction before any service is scheduled.

  • You may choose to wear your usual makeup for reference or bring inspiration photos reflecting your preferred style. If you do not typically wear makeup, coming with a clean face is perfectly fine and allows for an accurate assessment of your natural features.

Procedure & Healing

  • Initial surface healing typically takes 1–2 weeks, depending on the procedure area. During this time, mild redness, flaking, or sensitivity may occur. Pigment continues to soften and stabilize over the following weeks as the skin renews.

  • Yes. Pigment appears darker immediately after the procedure and gradually softens as healing progresses.

  • Final results are typically visible after 4–6 weeks, once the skin has fully healed and the pigment has settled.

  • Yes. Pigment gradually softens and may lighten over time. Touch-ups are recommended to help maintain color and shape.

  • Makeup should be avoided on the treated area until healing is complete. Detailed aftercare instructions will be provided following your procedure.

Eligibility & Safety

  • Clients must be 18 years or older. Certain medical conditions, medications, or skin concerns may affect eligibility. Suitability will be reviewed during the consultation to ensure safety and optimal results.

  • No. Procedures are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to safety considerations. Please wait until after this period.

  • Yes. All procedures follow strict hygiene standards using professional-grade pigments and single-use needles and supplies. Client safety and cleanliness are always a top priority.

  • All allergies, skin conditions, or sensitivities should be disclosed during the consultation so your treatment can be planned safely and appropriately.

Micro Tattoo

  • A micro tattoo is a small, fine-line tattoo designed with subtle detail and minimal scale. These designs are often discreet and personalized.

  • Yes. Reference images or design ideas are encouraged and will be reviewed during your consultation to ensure suitability, proper placement, and desired results.

  • Unlike PMU, micro tattoos are considered permanent. However, due to their fine-line nature and placement, they may soften slightly over time. Touch-ups may be scheduled as needed. Longevity varies based on skin type, placement, and aftercare.
